This film is totally bizarre.

I sort of got the red panties connection, I suppose women are supposed to wear jeans with cheap underwear?

I don't know who the female is. Looks a bit like Kirsten Dunst actually.

All that bar lingo was funny too. Do they still use terms such as speed rack and back bar?

The relationship between the two was just plain strange. Waking up in the middle of the night to talk about liquor placement. Yeah.

Finally, Albert's Mother at the end, was, well bizarre. What was the meaning of that conversation?

The conversation with Albert's mother was bizarre, yes. I wasn't paying attention the first time I watched the film, and I thought he had accidentally reached an escort service.
